Ganthagalpa, an anthology of short stories by Bangladeshi women, was launched at the Boi Mela at the Bangla Academy on February 23, 2010. Poet and MP, Ms Ruby Rahman, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Ganthagalpa  is the first Bangla publication of writers.ink.

Dr Masud Mahmood's book on Emily Dickinson, Launched into Eternity, was launched at the American Center, Dhaka. Apart from Dr Mahmood, Ms Lauren Lovelace, Director of the American Center, Dr. Shawkat Hossain, Professor, Department of English, University of Dhaka, Professor Rebecca Haque, Chair, Department of English, University of Dhaka, Ms Parveen Elias, Cultural Specialist, American Center, and Dr Niaz Zaman of writers.ink also spoke on the occasion. Ms Zerin Alam, Associate Professor, Department of English, University of Dhaka, read two poems by Emily Dickinson.

writers.ink celebrated its fourth anniversary with “An evening with writers” on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at omni books, Genetic Plaza, Dhanmondi. The writers who read from their writings included Abul Hussain, Kaiser Haq, Fakrul Alam, Jharna Das Purkayastha, Khondakar Ashraf Hossain, and Rubana Huq. Excerpts from the writings of Purabi Basu, Jharna Rahman, Rumana Siddique, and Sabahat Jahan were also read on the occasion.

Omni Books and writers.ink jointly organised a reception for eminent art historian, archaeologist and founder director general of the Bangladesh National Museum, Dr. Enamul Haque, on the occasion of the publication of "Kalhar", an anthology of essays on art, archaeology, sculpture and architecture on June 2 at the Omni outlet in Gulshan, Dhaka.

"Kalhar" (White Water-Lily) contains 40 reflective articles written in honour of Professor Enamul Haque by scholars from home and abroad. Thirteen of these articles are written by Bangladeshi writers. Gouriswar Bhattacharya, Gerd JR Mevissen, Mallar Mitra and Sutapa Sinha are the editors of the book.
